About myself

I have been taking classes at Sierra for a while now. Initially when I started I wanted to become a Nurse, but later I changed my major. Currently I am still deciding where to transfer after I complete my GED at Sierra. I am married and we have a beautiful little boy, who is almost 3. Ever since I had my son I have been taking online courses, because it is an opportunity for me to stay home with my son and also complete my degree. I enjoy learning from home, and wanted to encourage everyone who is taking an online class for the first time "You will do great!" The only advise I can give to my classmates is to create a schedule for themselves and stick to it. My first semester was very hard, because I could not find time to study, and now I know that I have to leave specific amount of time only for homework and studying. I am exited to take this class, because I lack in proper communication.. I have never taken a communication class, and I am looking forward to increasing my skills. I have been encouraged by my teachers in the past to take a communication class. I was born in Ukraine and came to live in US with my parents when I was 12, so I am still learning how to communicate properly.
